Make Your Own Weight Loss Drink

When it comes to weight loss you have to know what type of foods are going to help boost your metabolism and what is going to slow it down. There are going to be some people that thrive on eating fruits and vegetables and others that find there is way too much sugar in the fruits. Instead of helping it is actually hurting their chances at losing weight.

One of the best ways to get an even amount of fruits and vegetables and fiber and protein is to make a weight loss drink. Sure, you could buy something from the store. However, when you are on a budget you have to find another way to make do and lose the weight like you are supposed to.

Protein Packed Drink

Place all of the ingredients (listed below) into the blender and make sure that it is well blended. It will be nice and cold and very filling to have after a workout, for a snack, or at breakfast time.

  • ½ cup fresh fruit
  • 1 tbsp. agave nectar
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 cup of ice
  • ½ cup plain, non fat yogurt

Green Smoothie

I prefer to make something that is new, different, and absolutely delicious. This is a smoothie that is perfect for people who have a hard time with dairy – but still want something that is healthy. Many people are put off by the kale – but you do not taste it and it blends in so well. This is actually a very sweet and satisfying drink to have for breakfast.

  • 8 oz. water
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ cup kale
  • 1 tsp. honey
